ACIPC congratulates Liz Orr, winner of the 2024 ACIPC Sustainability in IPC Research grant.
Her project, “Gloves Off! Reducing non-sterile glove use,” aims to reduce unnecessary glove use, thereby reducing production and consumption on non-renewable resources, with the additional benefit in reducing cost and adverse skin reactions, while improving hand hygiene compliance.
Her project findings will be submitted to Infection, Disease and Health journal once completed.
The ACIPC Sustainability in IPC Research Grant demonstrates the College’s commitment to supporting sustainable approaches to infection prevention and control practices across healthcare and community settings.
We thank our award sponsors, GAMA Healthcare Australia (Platinum Funding Partner) and Haines Medical Australia (Silver Funding Partner) in helping to achieve this.*
Congratulation to Liz and her team at Royal Melbourne Hospital. We look forward to the findings of your research.
