Good Afternoon
We have had a successful program that has seen a reduction of SABSI due to PIVC from 9 in one year to 3 in 2 years at Bankstown/Lidcombe Hospital. Happy to share offline.
Kind Regards

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE!
Good morning
On the Central Coast we are undertaking a SABSI Improvement plan and keen to learn from others and any strategies used to reduce the incidence of SAB particularly those related to PIVCs.
We have developed a comprehensive local action plan but also keen to consider any initiatives used by other LHDs.
Thanks in advance for any support.
Cheers

HI everyone
We have a critical shortage of Chemotherapy gowns and no ongoing supply which will impact on service delivery. Could you let me know of any suppliers that may supply to us during this time.
We need Chemo rated gowns – level 4

Hi All
We have had our disposable curtains for about 3 years now. The decision we made following an actual trial in high risk MRO areas where the curtains were left for a period of 7months and then tested with no growth (VRE or MRSA or other except an ESBL in ICU:
1. 6months for high to medium to high risk areas (which would be most of our ED, acute wards and peri-op here.
2. 12months for low risk areas (outpatient departments and clinics.
We only came out with this after an actual trial to support claims made by the supplier. I would recommend there are a whole lot of different brands out there so be careful when deciding I have observed some questionable advertising.
Kind Regards
