    Hello Jennifer,

We process 300-320 clients each day through our Covid vaccination clinic.

Due to the fast pace of the clinic, we have found it impractical to clean the pre & post vaccination waiting room chairs between clients during vaccination sessions without them having to then sit in wet seats. These chairs are cleaned twice daily during scheduled break times and again once the clinic has closed.

However, the chairs in the actual vaccination cubicles are cleaned between clients.

    regards

    Good Morning,

We have been asked to benchmark other Covid Screening clinics to see if they clean the chairs between each patient.

We have not routinely been doing this primarily due to the large volume of patients being seen however the clinic does receive a deep clean every evening.

    Many thanks

    Hi Jill,

As the uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine is recommended but not mandatory I don’t believe there is a vaccination refusal form available.
I have checked the Australian Government Department of Health website and were only able to find a consent to vaccinate form.

    Hi Meredith,

Sorry I’m a tad far away in Tasmania but there may be someone within the TB/Respiratory field who administers Mantoux screening tests who is also a nurse immuniser. They may be either able to assist with the ID Hepatitis B or provide training in the ID technique.

    Hi Michael,

We organised adding all vaccines onto the AIR about 16 months ago.

By approaching the Executive Director of Medical Services he has allowed us to access his provider number for the hospital and we enter all staff vaccinations provided using his details.
It did take a little while to organise the access and the password to go with it but once organised very easy to upload vaccine details.

Our hospital has recently been looking into the way our toilets are cleaned throughout our hospital.

Do any of you use disposable toilet bowl brushes? If not, what cleaning process do you have for the brushes from room to room?

    Any information appreciated.
