Hi Cate,
We are wearing disposable coveralls, mask, face shield, double gloves and gumboots for in flight PPE.
And are about to introduce PAPR units for any aerosolising procedure such as intubation.
Ta Paul.

Subject: [ACIPC_Infexion_Connexion] Hazmat suits for aeromedical services- are they necessary?Hi there
Can anyone tell me if your aeromedical transport services staff( plane or chopper, RFDS or Angel Flight etc) wear Hazmat suits or all in one overalls when retrieving or transferring Suspect or Confirmed COVID-19 patients? I have been unable to find recommendations that anything outside usual PPE in SoNG is required for these services, so would like our thoughts. Do your or ICU staff wear for intubation?
I have many requests for these suitsIf so, do you provide training of how to doff the overalls without contaminating themselves.
Kind Regards
