    Hello Maham,

You are in luck, our organisation has a liaison team that is turning 25 years next year!

While it has evolved and expanded a lot since my manager formed the team back in 1995, the team has and remains an important part of managing infection and risk at our health service.

I’ve been coordinating the team for the last 5 years so have some knowledge I can share.

Our current numbers are: over 75 staff representing 35 different departments/areas within our organisation. We have semi-regular meetings (every 2 months) and run a study day for them each year. Communication is also via email or an online forum on our intranet. I used to send out newsletters but as my time has been eaten up with other responsibilities within the organisation, those have gone by the wayside. I’m a little bit graphic-design and tech savvy so this helps!

Most are nurses but we have a few allied health staff. We are open to medical or admin joining the team however they should have a bit of a clinical background of knowledge to draw from to help in their understanding of the role.

I have all kinds of resources I can share, such as position descriptions, welcome packs, presentations, etc. if needed. Please feel free to email me on my work email (listed below) if you wish for more info.

    Warm Regards,

    Monica.

    Hi Everyone,

    Hope you’re all well.

Just wondering if anyone has a successful Infection Control Liaison Personnel Program, and if you can please share your secrets.
I am trying to start a new project at CCLHD to empower Infection Control personnel in clinical areas.
I need to know what is working for you?
Do you have meetings on a regular basis?
Do you get enough staff attending?
How do you run your program?
Are they mostly nurses or do you have medical and admin staff involved?
Do you have a policy or guidelines?

    Thank you in advanced.
    Kind regards
