    Hi Sarah,

There has been comprehensive advice provided to your CEO via the daily Health Service Bulletin – you might like to ask your CEO to provide you a copy of this daily update – it has a lot of information that is of importance to infection control and is often not found on any websites.

    Regards,

    Mary

    Hi Team,

I am after some advice regarding staff working across multiple sites in RACF.

We are Victorian based, and lucky enough to be in an area of no known active cases but am cautious at the idea of ‘sharing’ staff.
Does the department currently have any recommendations out, or is it up to each facility to determine the risk?

    Kind regards,

    Sarah Bulzomi

    Hi All,
Can anyone please advise what the minimal age of children is to wear surgical masks? If you have any guideline to be shared? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Sarah,

Victoria has a similar patient satisfaction survey to NSW – Victorian Healthcare Experience Survey

The Victorian healthcare experience survey (VHES) has been implemented in Victorian health services to measure patient experience since 2014. It asks randomly selected patients their perception of how clean is the health service (Q12 & 13) and is ABHR available (Q14)? Larger health services can also look at data for their ED (Q52, 53, 54) as well as general inpatient data.

Public health services are expected to get a score of 70% or above for “perception of cleanliness” as part of the KPIs outlined in the annual Victorian Health Services Performance Monitoring Framework.

Your executive or quality team would be aware of this survey and should be able to advise you on how to access the data. You will need to register and have a password to access the data.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Mary

    Hello Sarah

I find data from NSW BHI most useful as it provides a snap shot of broad information in a variety of settings about the consumers perceptions of us in these setting re Hand Hygiene , cleanliness of wards and bathrooms etc …(it is a bit dated currently so waiting for update)

I can at least benchmark externally and with our selves re data we already collect on the floor ie HHA audit data, cleaning audit results etc

I am not sure what you have set up in Vic but reckon you would have something similar down your way to what we have in NSW re consumer survey / feedback ?

good luck & hope this info helpful

    cheers

    Hi team,

We are in the process of updating out customer satisfaction survey and consumer response, specific to Infection Control.
I was wondering what other organisations have in place around this.
    We are currently struggling to find a model that is able to;

    1. gain enough interest for consumers to participate in and
    2. obtain enough information that we as an organisation can utilise/improve on

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

    Kind regards,
