    Dear Brains Trust

For those of you who utilise compactus storage systems in your Theatre Suites for housing procedure trays etc. Does your compactus system comprise solid shelving or wire shelving to allow potential dust to fall to floor?

    With Thanks in advance

Our experience here was that nurses in the clinical setting stated they
do not have time to stand and air dry their hands and we have re-
    installed paper dispensers.

From my experience, many facilities I have been to actually turn off
the hand dryers at night because they are too noisy. The question has
to then be asked .how do they dry their hands? On their uniforms?

My understanding is that they are too noisy for clinical areas

Has anybody had any experience with installation of hand dryers (warm
    blowing air) in clinical areas?
We are building a new facility, the question has been raised can we
install hand dryers instead of paper towel in clinical areas at the hand
    washing sinks?
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

    Hi all
I have a question about the wearing of gloves and the use of hand
hygiene during vaccination clinics, in particular in schools or
community based clinics. The Immunisation guidelines state that gloves
are not routinely recommended for immunisation service providers and
that standard precautions should be used.
Would be interested to know what others are doing.
    1. Do the immunisation staff wear gloves or not?
    2. If wearing gloves do they change them and perform hand hygiene
    between each client/ individual?
    3. If not wearing gloves do they perform hand hygiene between
    each client?
    Thanks
