    Good morning Sam

We use a cleaning/disinfection product with 1000 ppm sodium hypochlorite for all environmental cleaning in clinical areas. Used on a daily basis for all rooms whether patients have precautions/MROs or not. For patients with MROs, on discharge we use a Nocospray machine (hypochlorite mist) post normal clean.

    Toilets bleach is used daily

    Best regards
    Dawn

    Good morning,

Just wanted to do a snap pole

1 What bleach concentration do you use in your facilities?
2 Bleach concentration for cleaning additional precaution rooms, is this different if c.diff or gastro?
3 Do you routinely clean all toilets with bleach?

    Many thanks,
    Sam

    Good afternoon Everyone,

We are reviewing our screening policy and one of the questions that came up is if we need to screen Health care workers for MRO’s?
    More specifically:

    1. HCW’s working in other facilities and are admitted to our facility or

    2. HCW’s who have been inpatients in other facilities in the past ( specific timeframe – we use 6 weeks for patients) and then admitted to our facility

Does anyone know of any guidelines regarding this or what best practice is?

    Thank you in advance
    Marlize Senekal
