Hi Catina
We use Chlorhexadine 0.5% in alcohol 70% tinted red for all
angiographic procedures (all caths, PPM, Defibs, etc.) Ours is from Oron
Laboratories Pty Ltd. It is tinted red so that when you clean the area
you can see where you have cleaned. The stain does stay on the skin for
a while but it does come off eventually. We also use this product in
theatre as the skin prep.
It is 100ml bottle.
Hope this helps.Bridget Bourke

Hello,
Im wondering what other institutions use for skin preparation when
performing angiograms and placing permanent implantable devices ie.
Pacemakers, ICD, etc.
Cheers,
