Good morning Holly
My understanding is that MROs (MRSA, VRE, MRGN) are transmitted by direct and indirect contact, as are all other skin and bowel colonising organisms. Based on this principle there isn’t any indication to “rest” the theatre or wait for a specific number of air changes between cases following procedures performed on patients known to be colonised with MROs.
Regards
Beth

I have a question…….
Is there a set time after the theatre has been cleaned post MRO patient prior to the next patient?
We currently let the Theatre rest for hour- my question is do we need to? Do we need a certain number of air changes? Where would I find out this information?
Thank you
Holly

Hi Kelly
Do you also use Riskman to send reports to the ACHS for clinical indicator data?
Thanks
