    Dear IPC colleagues

    We are happy to announce the launch of the Western Pacific Infection Prevention and Control Network and that the first Webinar will be held on Wednesday 15th April 0800hrs (Manila time) with invitation to you all.

    The primary aim of the WPRO IPC Network is to facilitate networking of Infection Prevention and Control focal points and experts in Member States, WHO Country Offices and WHO Regional Office for the Western Pacific.

    We aim to hold a Webinar each week (schedule/time might change), with a new key topic and guest speaker followed by a question and answer session facilitated by the WPRO IPC Team.

    Each session will be recorded and made available to those unable to attend.

    * PPE in the time of scarcity- explaining WHO options
    o (15 mins – Professor Mary-Louise McLaws University of New South Wales)
    * Panel discussion/Q&A from participants
    o (20 mins – Professor McLaws and WPRO IPC Team)
    * Close/next meeting
    o (5 mins – WPRO IPC Team)

    The Terms of Reference of this new network are attached for your review which will be discussed the following week. We encourage you all to identify future topics.

    We look forward to your attendance. Please share within your teams, Ministry of Health and professional associations. We ask that this is not shared to the public to ensure we are meeting your specific needs as IPC focal points and leads in your countries.
