    About the Role:
    Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. We are committed to our vision of ‘better health services for the people of western Sydney and beyond’ and to the delivery of health care or related services in line with our core values of collaboration, openness, respect and empowerment.
    The CNC Infection Prevention and Control is responsible for the leadership of a multi-disciplinary team to reduce the incidence and risk of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) within Westmead Hospital and across WSLHD. The CNC Infection Prevention and Control is responsible for the design, implementation and review of the Infection Control Program that includes the provision of high-level advice, education, risk assessment, auditing, monitoring of clinical indicators and contribution to the development of facility and district policies, procedures, learning packages and guidelines. The CNC Infection Prevention and Control is responsible for contributing to the systematic and coordinated Infection Control Program at Westmead Hospital as a component of the WSLHD Infection Control Program.
