    Hi ,

We are currently reviewing the level of facial PPE that is worn in
Endoscopy during procedures. Currently staff wear a visor and a PFR
mask for bronchoscopy and a visor / surgical mask for cleaning scopes
(per GENCA guidelines) but there is a lack of agreement about wearing
surgical mask and visor for upper / lower GI scope procedures as it is
not specifically addressed in the GENCA guidelines. Our concern is that
if a facial splash during these procedures they would not be protected.

Can people please provide information about their facility policy and
    associated references supporting it?

    Kind Regards,

    Fiona De Sousa
