Dear all
I would like some advice on the use of fans in patients rooms. I understand we don’t recommend the use of fans due to the increased risk associated with the movement and transfer of organisms and dead skin cells around the space in which the fan is operating and also the inability to effectively clean the fans between each patient use.
With our facility being an old hospital and the air conditioning not great on very hot humid days I would like to know what other facilities with the same problem do to ensure patients and staff are kept comfortable?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kind Regards
