Dear Colleagues, I am interested in opinion on the practice of using
alcohol as a final drying cycle for flexible endoscopes
Gensa /Genca / Guidelines 2010 still recommend alcohol flush for drying
purposes at end of lists.
As the now practice of full time Hepa Air filtered cabinets air flow for
storage of endoscopes is the use of alcohol as a drying agent still
relevant.?
Manufacturers recommendations are not dated- so query current relevance?
and provide ambiguous responses to follow National guidelines in
spite of providing a recommended practice of an alcohol flush for manual
cleaning but not for AER.
I am interested in the industry view on this issue
