Hi everyone,
I found an ultra violet light listed as medical device and approved by the TGA.
Has anyone looked into its application during this pandemic??

Hi Elena
Yes there is a UVC high level disinfection device for ultrasound probes, including TOE probes available. It has been deployed in ED and ICU for reprocessing probes used for Lung ultrasound. Lung ultrasounds are used to monitor COVID patents.
Ultrasound probes are also used for guided vascular access, to administer fluids etc. during this time.
