    Dear colleagues,
FYI. On Friday, the UK Royal College of Nursing released its Report of its 2020 survey of members’ blood and body fluids exposures and experiences. The prevalence and incidence of sharps injuries and mucocutaneous exposures are alarming and likely due to Covid workloads in UK.

Here is a link to the press release with Report highlights: https://www.rcn.org.uk/news-and-events/press-releases/pressures-of-pandemic-and-lack-of-training-see-rise-in-sharps-injuries
And a direct link to the 14,000-word, 44 page Report: https://www.rcn.org.uk/professional-development/publications/rcn-blood-and-bodily-fluid-exposures-uk-pub-009-687

I was a member of the RCN Working Group and declare no conflict of interest.

    Kind regards, Terry
