Tympanic Thermometers

[SUBSCRIBE AICALIST Heidi Gettons]

I have been asked for advice regarding use of tympanic thermometers if the plastic covers are not available. If they can be used without covers? and also how can they be cleaned if no cover is used. At the moment we have adequate supplies, so are planning if a shortage occurs. I have contacted our supplier but have had no reply to date.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
