    Dear All,

Our headquarter is pending to classify used IV infusion set as used sharps, because they say the infusion set’s spikes could cause sharps injury.

They propose to cut the spikes from the used IV infusion set, then to discard the “cut” spikes into sharps box. The remaining IV infusion without spike would be discarded to municipal waste bag.

I would like to know your prevailing practices for how to dispose used infusion set.

    Yours sincerely,

    Sony SO
