    Hello Lincoln

I have always found that eucalyptus oil is very effective for removing
    sticky gum residue from surfaces.
It is inexpensive and handy to have a small bottle in a cupboard.

    Hi Lincoln,

For surfaces you can try with hot Water

    – Scrub the area with small strokes in a back-and-forth motion.

    – If the residue still doesnt seem to be lifting after a few minutes, soak
the area in the hot soapy water for up to 20 minutes, and then give it
    another scrub.

    – After the residue is gone, wipe the area dry to remove any last traces of
    adhesive
