INFECTION CONTROLThe Sunshine Coast Private Hospital is the Coast’s largest and only not-for-profit private health facility and is growing from 149 to 176 in September 2010. Our comprehensive range of services include Cardiac, Surgical, Medical, Maternity and is the only hospital on the Sunshine Coast with Cardiac Catheter Theatre facilities and adult Mental Health. We are proud that our ACHS survey results in 2009 placed us within the top 1% of hospitals in Australia.
Located centrally between Buderim and Mooloolaba, the hospital is served by public transport. In addition to a convenient location, we also offer:

* Free on site car parkingWe are currently seeking an experienced infection control RN to manage our infection control services within the hospital. As a pivotal member of our health care team, you will be responsible for the leadership, strategic direction & be clinical expert in the management of all infection control related issues. This position can be negotiated 0.6 – 0.8 FTE.
Key Selection Criteria
* Registered Nurse with well-developed clinical nursing experience including infection control experience. Post graduate qualifications in Infection control is advantageous.
* Experience in clinical and KPI management of an infection control department;
* Consultative leadership style aligned with the organisation’s values and ability to build rapport and effective relationships with key stakeholders;
* Highly developed interpersonal skills, conflict management and negotiation skills;
* Have a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of National Standards, ACHS Quality Management System, continuous improvement, OH&S and risk management;
* A strong commitment to organisational values, customer service and quality outcomes;
* Ability to strategically plan and positively implement change.
