    Hello All,
Trying to find some guidance around how sterile an ERCP ‘should be’.
Due to the impact COVID-19 is having on PPE supplies, there are some rustlings at my facility about stepping down to single-use non-sterile gowns and gloves for ERCPs when we have been using a full sterile scrub to date.
I can’t find anything definitive about this from GENCA or the CDC and my preliminary literature search is not very helpful (many mention the need for gloves and gown during the procedure, but do not differentiate between sterile and non-sterile PPE).
I imagine this is a facility specific decision so am happy to hear your anecdotal examples as well.
Apologies if this is a well established and already discussed issue, I haven’t seen it in my years as an ICP so far.
    Warm Regards,
    Monica.
