Sterile stock storage in Emergency Departments

Hi Everyone,
I am looking for advice from anyone who might have implemented the requirements of AS4187 for sterile storage in their Emergency Department. In particular the storage of items that need to be on-hand for particular situations/procedures away from a dedicated sterile storage area. Some specialty items that we are struggling with include those for “difficult intubations” but also those that live in our “Eye Room”.
If anyone is happy to share any advice/risk management approaches/policies they have developed to balance the requirements as they are stipulated in AS4187 versus the clinical need to quickly access these items, I would be hugely appreciative.
