Hi Brains Trust,
I was wondering how different health services have, or any planning on how best to implement a staff monitoring program in general and for potential PPE exposures.
I have a tool for staff currently self-monitoring and for those in isolation from returned travels. However, as this situation develops I was wondering what tool people might be using in order to monitor those caring for suspected or confirmed cases.
We have restricted access to visitors at our sites from today with designated entry points. From tomorrow, the organisation will be commencing temperature screening of all visitors at the main entrance and we aim to include staff as well this week.
Our COVID-19 team have a dedicated call line for all staff enquires which is manned Mon-Friday business hours by bank nurses which average 50-70 calls per day plus what the IP team also receive. We have a dedicated HMO resource for positive results follow up and 2 AH staff to feedback back all of the negative results to those tested in our assessment clinic. I would like to streamline the staff monitoring where practical as this is becoming quite resource intensive especially with follow up.
Does anyone use electronic means to capture staff temperatures, symptoms or provide logs for staff on those designated wards or tools they intend to use that they would be willing to share?
I look forward to peoples discussion around this.
Kind regards
MaureenMaureen Canning
