Good morning
On the Central Coast we are undertaking a SABSI Improvement plan and keen to learn from others and any strategies used to reduce the incidence of SAB particularly those related to PIVCs.
We have developed a comprehensive local action plan but also keen to consider any initiatives used by other LHDs.

I am very interested in this topic also.
In the last 6 months I have noticed an increase in SAB relating to PIVCs within the organization I work in.
We are about to review our PIVC documents and care bundles and would be very appreciative of any research, guidelines and best practice to improve patient care and reduce HAI’s.Thank you

We have had a successful program that has seen a reduction of SABSI due to PIVC from 9 in one year to 3 in 2 years at Bankstown/Lidcombe Hospital. Happy to share offline.
