    Dear Colleagues,
I am about to embark on a project reviewing scope of practice for IPAC staff and FTE hours across the district and assist facilities in preparing a business case for increased hours .

There is a wide mix of CNCs, CNs and RNs working within the district, some of the RNs hold an IPAC role or responsibility for 1 or 2 days per week or less and this group face many difficulties in completing the full scope of their role. Generally they are located in smaller facilities and multipurpose sites and often have to forgo their IPAC related work, whenever their substantial ward or area is short-staffed.

I would be very interested to know if any others have been involved in similar projects and would welcome suggestions/ advice.

    Kind regards

    Helen
