Dear colleagues
I am wondering how other immunisation providers are answering staff
concerns in response to Professor Collignons comments in The Australian
Newspaper, March 4, 2011 titled *A leading flu expert has called for a
rethink of flu vaccine policy, in the light of evidence suggesting
people vaccinated against seasonal flu shortly before swine flu swept
the globe had a greater risk of serious illness from the new strain.****With the staff flu vaccination program being rolled out next week at my
workplace this newspaper article has generated lots of discussion mostly
negative.****The article states that e*vidence from Canada, Hong Kong and some
other countries suggested people who were infected with “normal” annual
flu experienced a broader immunity over ensuing months than the
protection conferred by vaccines. I was wondering if anyone can refer
me to this evidence for review.Regards
