Vaccination Coordinator
Full-Time Fixed Term Position until August 2014
80 hours per fortnightMelbourne Health is an award winning health care service and is Victoria’s second largest public health service. We provide comprehensive acute, sub-acute, general, specialist medical and mental health services through both inpatient and community based facilities through the following services: The Royal Melbourne Hospital – City Campus, The Royal Melbourne Hospital – Royal Park Campus, North Western Mental Health, RMH Kidney Care Service and Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory.
The Vaccination Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Infection Prevention & Surveillance Service (IPSS) Manager to facilitate the Healthcare Worker Influenza program to meet the organisational target of 95%. The participant will work as a member of the IPSS team to implement the influenza program as described in the Melbourne Health influenza working group plan. Activities will include co-ordinating the day to day activities of the nurse immunisers, liaising with managers, co-ordinating and providing immunisation clinics, ensuring all vaccination data is entered daily, maintaining the cold chain and providing education as requested.
