TASHi all,
I am enquiring as to how other healthcare facilities manage the uploading of vaccinations administered to patients whilst they are accessing hospital services. (e.g tetanus boosters in ED departments, splenectomy related vaccines on surgical wards or in outpatient settings, pertussis to maternity clients, influenza vaccines to any patient).
We have systems in place to ensure vaccines administered to staff are uploaded but these currently cannot be extended to cover patients as well.* Do you have specific personnel who assume the role or uploading vaccines AND what is their role in the facility?
* Does your healthcare facility use a program similar to those used by GPs?
* Is this a question that your facility has identified and is yet to solve?I would appreciate any information, guidance or solutions.
