    Hi Judy,

In the development of the Antimicrobial Prescribing Tool we have always been mindful of being able to include as many different areas and settings as possible. We also work closely with VICNISS and they have been very keen to have our tool adaptable to the aged care setting. We are very happy for this to happen but have not performed any audits in aged care as yet.

Our research team at Melbourne health have also just secured a grant to study Antimicrobial Stewardship in the long term and aged care setting. So we will hopefully have some local data and research into this field available soon.

    Cheers,

    Rod.
