Yes, we have been working on an Antimicrobial Prescribing Survey Tool for the past two years, with over 100 hospitals involved in a second nation wide pilot audit last year. We are working in collaboration with the ACSQHC, so the tool should meet accreditation standard 3 for auditing and possibly also used for bench-marking purposes. Currently an online database for easier data entry and analysis is being developed and we will be intending the tool be useful for all public hospitals (regardless of size), private hospitals, paediatric hospitals and aged care facilities. We will be advertising access to the tool and participation in further surveys later in the year once the database has been built and tested.
