Hi Philippa
Here we only use bleach after detergent cleaning for known VRE or Norovirus. We are currently trialling a non-chlorine disinfectant with action again Norovirus and enterococci because it claims to leave no residue. We need to rinse off the bleach residue otherwise it adversely effects surfaces.
Cheers

Good afternoon, here at the Canberra hospital we have a 2 step process forterminal cleaning. Rooms are initially cleaned with detergent & water thendiluted bleach and left to dry- however our cleaners are wanting to to washoff the diluted bleach. I am wondering what happens in other hospitals? ThanksMessages posted to this list are solely the opinion of the authors, and do not represent the opinion of AICA.
