    Hello Jayne

In the new Palmerston Regional Hospital the water supply to the scope reprocessor (Cantel Medivator) was potable water filtered to 5microns and 1micron.

Need good water pressure and other pre filters in your water supply or they will clog up quickly.

The reprocessor has 0.4 micron and 0.1 micron filters on board.

And the manufacturer advised against using softened water. Specially with the resin Lewatit Monoplus S 107 NS as they leave a brown deposit.

RO water is very expensive and waste 50% of the input water.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers
