NSWHey Emma,
We run courses at our ADA Centre for Professional Development with pig cadavers for dentists.
You need to make sure youre not interchanging reprocessable medical devices (RMDs) between veterinary and human health care including RMDs used in preclinical training on animal tissue.
So essentially, keep it all separate. Separate instruments, separate sterilising rooms, separate storage. The whole lot. Once an instrument has been used on an animal it can never go in a human mouth again.
Call me if you want, youre welcome to come over and take a look at what we do.

Hi all
Im looking for some infection control guidelines around pig cadaver courses.
We are a dental supply company and have showrooms around the country which are functional but arent used to treat patients. We have a specialist who is wanting to host a course at our showroom facility for implant surgery on pig heads.
Im working with our OHS manager to see if its possible to host the course at our facility safely.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
