    Hi All,

    I have been asked a question relating to maternity unit and a woman presents and is positive or has risk factors for Covid 19

    I am searching evidence for an answer if nitrous oxide for analgesia in labour is an aerosolising procedure.

    So far the most credible evidence I have found is;

    * ASA Draft 1 caring for patients during COVID – 19 it refers to only Entonox/Inhalation sedation – not Entonox analgesia.
    * RCOG UK V3 Has just changed their advice that there is no evidence that Entonox is aerosol-prone procedure and can be used in labour with a microbiological filter.

    I would appreciate any assistance or direction to clarify this so thee Maternity Plan can be finalised.

    Thank you for your time – Happy to discuss over the phone if you have the time.

    HI everyone,
    I would like to enquire if the use of Methoxyflurane (green whistle) with the carbon filter attached, would be considered an aerosol risk with Covid19

    Thanks,
