To the AICA List,
Our facility has a cytoguard clean room for the compounding of
chemotherapy agents (classified as a Grade A/B room by ISOPP). This is
a new area of infection prevention and control for me and I would like
to hear from any list members who also oversee a cytoguard room as part
of their IPC role. In particular I would like to know what level of
environmental testing you do for the room, and whether the pharmacists
wear sterile coveralls or gowns when entering the room. If they wear
sterile coveralls how do they maintain their sterility when putting them
on?
