Does anyone have a protocol for the cleaning of the earphone/headphone sets used in audiometry?
At present many of our school nurses use an older model audiometer with ear pads. I believe there are newer models with disposable ear pieces in use, but for them the ear piece is not reused (I hope!).
The original manufacturer/supplier suggests wiping with an alcohol wipe and replacing the ear pads from “time to time”. There is no information in the instruction booklet.
I would like to hear of other approaches.
