I am posting this position on behalf of a colleague Mr John Shorland,
Staffing Consultant, Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar.

Head of Infection Control – Hamad Medical Corporation – Qatar

We are Qatar’s leading healthcare provider to more than two million
expatriates and Qatari nationals living and working in Qatar.

Joint Commission International (JCI).

At Hamad Medical Corporation, as well as diagnosing, treating, and helping
to prevent diseases and injuries, we are also committed to learning,
teaching and researching routes to achieve healthcare excellence.

We are looking to appoint a full time Head of Infection Control to join us
on a permanent basis based in Doha, Qatar,

We welcome hospital based practitioners to this role with experience in
Operating Theatres who are qualified as an Infection Control Nurse,
Practitioner or Manager.

Your key focus will be safety and Infection control.

You will need to have knowledge of infection control principles, experience
in outbreak investigation practices and be able to demonstrate leadership in
the provision of preventive and public health programs and the investigation
and prevention of communicable diseases

You will use your epidemiological knowledge in the investigation of
infection and infectious disease incidences and recommend intervention
strategies for the prevention and control of infections and infectious
diseases.

We would like to hear from experienced candidates with a minimum of two
years experience who would like the opportunity to work in a very supportive
and progressive modern department.

Job Requirement

At HMC we expect you to have or equivalent to:

BSc (Hons) Health Studies and PgDip / MSc Health Care
MSc in Infection Control

Postgraduate Diploma in Infection Control

Postgraduate Certificate in Infection Control

Medical Technologist Certification

Ideally you will have 5 years of position-related experience .
