Hoping I can get some help on what I feel is an important issue at my aged care facility. I would like to know what should be contained in the Outbreak Management Folder (not just for Covid-19) but for any outbreak.
Also, what should be contained in an Outbreak Management Kit. Currently, our kit contains Gowns, Booties, Face Masks, Signage, and that’s it. Our Portable/mobile PPE containers have in them Gowns/Aprons, Cutan Hand-rub, Face Masks, and disinfectant wipes. If we require goggles or face shields we have to go to a separate area to collect them.
I feel these kits are inadequately stocked, am I wrong? In order to make any necessary changes to these kits, I require higher authority than being the IPC Lead gives me as I am only an EEN.
Any help or suggestions with appropriately stocking these kits would be greatly appreciated.
