    Dear All,

Is anyone able to help me out. We recently had a patient come to OT who
had their procedure performed, went to Recovery, then went back to the
ward. It was then discovered that they were MRO positive. Other patients
had already followed the patient into OT. What should be done in this
case? Should all the patients that followed be swabbed? Does the OT room
then gets cleaned as well as all of Recovery before any other patients
    come in?

    Ruth,

The theatre should have been cleaned before the next case

    Did this not happen?

    Hi Ruth
Refer this query to your in house IC coordinator – Prue.
Swabbing is not required & operating theatres should be cleaned between patients as Glenys said.
