    Hi
I am curious to know if any hospitals are currently clearing patients with ESBL or VRE?

If yes, do you have a local policy? What evidence did you use? Are you removing the Alert from the electronic medical record?

We are hearing conflicting information at the moment across a number of hospitals and want to know what the majority are doing.

I am also interested in any issues you have encountered with MRSA Clearance regimes as well

    Thanks

    Joe

    Hi Joeanne,
Our dialysis clinics don’t clear ESBL or VRE. Patients always managed with
additional contact precautions, though not usually isolated.

    Sincerely
    Carolyn
