Good afternoon
I am now working in community based services for Anglicare Southern Qld as their infection control coordinator
I am interested if anyone has recommendations for medication administration in the event of a lock down for RACFs?
In some of our facilities an RN will do the med round across several units/wings with limited DD cupboards. My question is how do you dispense DDs appropriately in a wing in lockdown with staff cohorting and no DD cupboards in that wing?Cheers

Hi Christie
We are currently in lockdown.
We have created DD cupboards in each wing.
We have RN in the red zone and manages that.
In the Amber zone ,Agency RN in charge and Green Zone -RN manages that.
It helps prevent cross infection .Kind regards,
