Good Morning,
Seeking clarity

My thoughts are that you are required to wear a mask as a healthcare worker in Victoria this has been
Confirmed this morning via the Coronavirus hot line

However, when you review the statement below it states recommend this makes it difficult for staff to navigate
As the IPC masks are a vital link. But it’s understandable that staff will push back with the word recommend
Does anyone have a further information or links

Per the Oxford dictionary recommended

1. advised or suggested as good or suitable.
“the recommended daily intake of vitamins”

When to wear a face mask in Victoria
We recommend wearing a mask:
* for at least 7 days if you have COVID-19 or are a close contact and:
o you need to leave home, or
o you cannot maintain physical distance
* if you are caring for someone at home who is sick with COVID-19
* if you have any COVID-19 symptoms
* if you are with people who may be vulnerable to COVID-19
* if you are visiting or working in a sensitive setting such as hospitals and aged care facilities
* If you know you are at a higher risk of falling very sick with COVID-19.
