HI everyone
As you know supply of level 3 surgical masks is unreliable at this stage. We have been offered an array of different surgical masks from suppliers with whom we do not regularly do business. Many are regisitered with TGA and others are not Wondering if you have been able to source suitable masks from alternate suppliers. Could message me if you have any advice?

Hi Gill,
I have attached further recommendations for high risk/ sensitive areas. I think your reference is for the general public?
Page 18 of the following document still recommends that staff and visitors wear face masks in RACF and Healthcare settings. Every site needs to risk assess their areas and implement their policies based on these risks. Same as for anything really, staff should follow hospital/ facility policies.
Kind Regards,
Jo

Good Morning,
Seeking clarityMy thoughts are that you are required to wear a mask as a healthcare worker in Victoria this has been
Confirmed this morning via the Coronavirus hot lineHowever, when you review the statement below it states recommend this makes it difficult for staff to navigate
As the IPC masks are a vital link. But it’s understandable that staff will push back with the word recommend
Does anyone have a further information or linkshttps://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/face-masks
Per the Oxford dictionary recommended
adjective
1. advised or suggested as good or suitable.
“the recommended daily intake of vitamins”When to wear a face mask in Victoria
We recommend wearing a mask:
* for at least 7 days if you have COVID-19 or are a close contact and:
o you need to leave home, or
o you cannot maintain physical distance
* if you are caring for someone at home who is sick with COVID-19
* if you have any COVID-19 symptoms
* if you are with people who may be vulnerable to COVID-19
* if you are visiting or working in a sensitive setting such as hospitals and aged care facilities
* If you know you are at a higher risk of falling very sick with COVID-19.Thank you
