Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network
Dear GOARN Focal Point,In the framework of the partnership between UNICEF, IFRC, WHO and GOARN, the Collective Service for Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) is launching the Collective Helpdesk, an interactive system powered by international specialists aiming to support anyone seeking rapid or in-depth technical support and resources that cannot be found at the country or regional levels, in critical areas for the COVID-19 response such as:
* Community engagement /Behavior and social change in emergencies
* Community feedback & Accountability
* RCCE M&E
* Social Science/BI Research
Since the beginning of the pandemic, it was identified that there is a need to strengthen the capacity of national and local staff to collectively engage with affected communities. Establishing a helpdesk function that could provide technical support was recognized as an important activity that could facilitate this response and contribute to a coordinated guidance and support provided at the country or regional levels.
The Collective Helpdesk seeks to collaborate with the regional RCCE mechanisms and partners and amplify their capacities by offering:* Rapid, remote technical assistance to access RCCE, SBC and related resources
* Referrals to regional or global RCCE experts for in-depth request
* Track and measure RCCE demand from country, regional, and global levels
The Regional and Country levels SBC, AAP, and RCCE related teams will find an extended Collective Helpdesk team ready to support you when you and your partners need ‘an extra hand’ in specific areas related to RCCE.The Collective Helpdesk is supported by the technical leads from UNICEF and the Collective Service Secretariat, in collaboration with RCCE interagency mechanisms and partners across the regions.
If you want to access a wide range of resources that cannot be found at the country or regional levels and amplify your ability to support your colleagues, counterparts, and partners, we encourage you to use and promote the Collective Helpdesk by sharing your questions through the website or sending an email to: helpdesk@rcce-collective.net.For further information kindly reach out directly to us by email to goarn@who.int.
For dissemination find attached and the links to the Collective Helpdesk brochure and flyer . Read more in the Concept note and FAQs about the Collective Helpdesk
Best regards,
GOARN Operational Support Team
