It has been many months since we initiated our request for experience Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) trainers. We are now at the point where we are prepared to interview and rapidly recruit trainers/mentors for 2 projects.

IOM Sierra Leone is about to implement its 3rd IPC project in keeping with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MoHS) national guidelines and recovery plan. Approved curriculum has been a collaborative work of MoHS, U.S. CDC and the WHO. These approved standards are being delivered in all government hospitals including the Prison and Police Hospitals. All parterres have been working steadily to fill the gaps exposed by the devastating Ebola crisis. One of the core goals of the recovery plan is to establish standardise IPC and WASH practices through training and mentoring. IOM is about to implement IPC and WASH in 11 private hospitals and is urgently seeking qualified and capable professionals to successfully implement this project.
