We are in the process of designing a new hospital and we are considering
one ‘Q’ class room for the hospital. I am led to understand that in
Australia all new builds require one ‘Q’ class isolation room per city.
Can anyone provide any more guidance besides the short paragraph in the
AFG as to what I need to consider for this room? In particular I am
interested in wall and floor finishes for terminal disinfection as I
have been advised my a consultant microbiologist that their P3 level
containment laboratory required some specific finishes etc.

    Thanks

    Ruth
