In response to interest from the community we are hosting a webinar that
showcases nurses’ role in managing COVID-19 in a variety of healthcare
settings, as well as in shaping infection control policy and procedures, by
highlighting the professions’ expertise in infection control research and
practice, patient and family liaison, clinical implementation of treatments
and long term recovery.We are pleased to invite you to a
60 minute webinar on 22
October at 7pm, to hear from Monash University expert panel of nurses,
including;1. Nurse Practitioner and academic,
Vanessa Clothier, will share experiences about being a clinician in an
Emergency Department during COVID-192. A/Professor
Morphet has led our nursing students through placements and training, and
can share the complex strategies and decisions that have been required to
shore up our workforce for the future.3. A/Professor
Rawson will discuss highlights relating to strategies and practices
developed by the COVID Crisis Management team at an aged care organisation
that she is a member of, as well as speak to the challenges faced by older
people, families and staff.4. A/Professor
Russo will be discussing the work and processes around the COVID-19
Infection Control Expert group that advises Australian Department of Health.
Philip is Director of Nursing Research, Cabrini Health, and an
internationally regarded expert in healthcare associated infection
preventionShort presentations will be followed by a Q&A, moderated by
Professor Debra Griffiths, Head of School.
