The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) conducts State and local council
elections and is responsible for promoting public awareness and
understanding of electoral issues in the Victorian community.Our vision is for all Victorians actively participating in their democracy.

We are currently recruiting for a Public Health Advisor to support the
delivery of COVIDsafe local council elections this October. The Public
Health Advisor will:*provide detailed public health advice on all existing VEC COVIDSafe
policies and procedures, and assist with maintaining their currency in a
dynamic environment,
*provide specific public health advice to VEC management as required
via VEC internal working groups,
*actively support the adoption of and compliance with COVIDSafe
practices at all VEC sites, working with the relevant program leads and
local managers,
*provide support to the management of a COVID positive case in the
workplace as required.What you’ll bring to the role
Our ideal candidate is highly responsive and collaborative with a proactive
mindset and is keen to make an immediate impact. You will have demonstrated
experience in supporting good public health practice in a dynamic,
non-clinical operating environment. Importantly, you possess strong
collaboration and relationship management skills, and have strong written
and verbal communication skillsOur ideal candidate has a Public Health qualification, ideally bachelor’s
degree or above.You will be able to work remotely for the duration of this contract.
