An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and enthusiastic nurse for the role of Infection Control Clinical Nurse Consultant (Grade 5) at Eastern Health. Eastern Health is the largest public health provider in the eastern suburbs, providing a comprehensive range of high quality acute, sub-acute, palliative care, mental health, drug and alcohol, residential care and community health services.
As a key role reporting to the Associate Director Infection Prevention and Control, this position has overall responsibility for the management of the Infection Prevention and Control Services at Maroondah Hospital. The position involves leading a small team in the coordination of patient care services whilst being cognisant of environmental factors that relate to infection control processes and procedures within the facilities and Eastern Health as a whole.
To be successful in the role you will have:
* a minimum of 5 years experience in the field of Infection Control and Prevention
* a post graduate qualification relevant to the position
* demonstrated competence in a management/leadership role
* strong organisational and prioritisation skills
* competency in building strong internal and external relationships with individuals at all levels
